Selected from photographs and screenshots shared by Cristofaro, this is a look around the edges of the catalog. The music carries the big feelings. The camera catches some of the smaller things that live beside them.
02 / Two working worlds
The person in the scrubs.
Michael Bates works in the operating room and records as Cristofaro. That connection runs through “Surgical Focus” and “Clear Margin”: attention, timing, pressure, and the effort it takes to stay steady.
A mirror portrait and a training setup put ordinary objects beside those lyrics. The adult and infant figures below are CPR training manikins, part of the practice side of clinical work.
03 / The smaller things
Tea. Paper. Something to hold.
A box of Irish breakfast tea is a small detail in a catalog that keeps returning to Ireland. Here, that connection sits on a kitchen counter, next to a spoon and a mug.
Then there are the printed copies of Variables & Voice Notes. The companion memoir carries the record’s story onto the page: the relationship, the music, and the return of trust. Seeing two copies on a table makes the project feel tangible in a different way.
04 / Inside the session
Before the play button.
“Fancy A Dance?” turns one invitation into an imagined evening: candlelit dinner, neon, and a hand reaching across the distance. This screenshot preserves another side of the song, a Logic Pro project with its waveform and Mastering Assistant on screen.
It is a snapshot from the process, with the project still labeled “v1.” The finished release has its own page, complete lyrics, and links to Spotify, Apple Music, and YouTube Music.
